Traditional Japanese beauty expressed in simple and soft forms

This lighting series utilizes the technology of Gifu lanterns, a specialty of Gifu that has been produced since the Edo period.
The simple, natural, and organic forms and the gentle light through the washi paper are designed to be familiar to everyone. The humorous forms reminiscent of rice cakes, bamboo shoots, and gourds, as well as the texture of the Japanese paper, are extremely “Japanese” and at the same time fit in well with any space.
The product is handcrafted by skilled artisans using thin, high-quality Mino washi from the Mino region of Gifu Prefecture and bamboo nurtured by the rich natural environment of Gifu.
