Stool S-3020

Stool S-3020

Rattan Stool by Isamu Kenmochi

The C-3150 lounge chair series was designed for the bar lounge of the Hotel New Japan in 1960, a pioneer of modern hotels.

This series dispelled the image at the time that rattan was an inexpensive furniture material for summer use in Southeast Asia, and has been highly regarded as a sophisticated Japanese product due to its fine weaving technique and beautiful detailing. The rich expression of the indentation made in the center of the seat surface and other features give it the warmth of hand-knitted by craftsmen.
