This pendant lamp, designed by lighting artist Toshiyuki Tani, features a handcrafted Japanese washi shade enhanced with a water- and stain-resistant finish. Instead of bamboo or wire, eco-friendly PET resin ribs wrapped in thin washi create a refined texture while minimizing shadows. Using precise heat treatment rather than wire, artisans shape the traditionally round lantern into a perfectly balanced octagon.

The “TAMA” model draws inspiration from abacus beads, blending soft washi warmth with a crisp geometric silhouette for a sophisticated Japanese interior accent.
