Toshiyuki Tani / SEN / Bamboo light stand

Toshiyuki Tani / SEN / Bamboo light stand

Beautiful Lighting with warmth of Japanese bamboo and sophisticated technique

This pendant light is crafted using the traditional Suruga Takesensuji bamboo art of Shizuoka, where thin, round bamboo strips are delicately bent and woven into graceful rings.
Designed to evoke classic Japanese lanterns, it works best as an ambient accent light rather than a main room illumination.
A related piece, HOKORE, employs the same Suruga technique and uses about three times more bamboo strips for an even more striking presence.

When used in a well-ventilated, dry room, it will rotate creating a unique aura (Wabi-Sabi) with the colors of bamboo.

*The voltage and plug for the cord type are Japanese domestic specifications. Please note that use at voltages higher than 110V may result in malfunction due to overvoltage.
