Structural beauty inspired by concrete architecture
Chodaisaku himself redesigned the table he worked on for the International House of Japan. It features a mushroom-like base and gently curved top inspired by concrete architecture.
It is the perfect size for use as a dining table and goes well with the Persimmon chairs, also designed by Chodaisaku.
The top panel is not a square but an arc-shaped rectangle (rectangle). This form was designed to naturally draw the gaze of the seated person to the center of the chair. The beautiful curves of this table are the result of Chodaisaku's attention to form.
The tabletop has a metal hardware installed on the back of the tabletop to prevent deflection and ensure a long life of use.
